If your lamp is equipped with a standard 3 piece plastic socket which is the case with most bankers lamps sold today this inner socket piece from amazon should do the trick. But if the entire chain snapped off at the base of the pull you ll need to replace the entire socket shell.

Reattach new socket to matching wires. Repair a chain switch on a lamp by removing and replacing the lamp socket and switch. Remove the old socket and expose the wires by stripping the plastic coating off 3 4 of an inch. And if your lamp has a three way bulb be sure to buy a replacement socket of the same style.

Pull chains are common switch types for table lamps but even high quality pull chains can sometimes snap off. You can buy lamp cord by the foot and you can use just about any type of plug to replace the one on your old lamp. The replacement will have a new switch included. These parts are standard.

Plug in and test new chain. You can find several varieties of lamp socket switches. If only the last few inches of a pull chain has snapped off you can easily replace it with a chain extender.
